Elephant Butte’s Luminaria Beachwalk

The Luminaria Beachwalk, organized and hosted by Friends of Elephant Butte Lake and Elephant Butte Lake State Park, starts at dusk. Luminaria-lined paths on the beach meander between campsites offering treats, bonfires and merriment.

[*What are luminarias? “A Christmas lantern consisting of a votive candle set in a small paper bag weighted with sand and typically placed with others along a driveway, sidewalk or rooftop as a holiday decoration.”]
